Bhola’s Ilisha has become Bangladesh’s 29th gas field.
State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid made the announcement from his Baridhara residence in Dhaka today.
He said the estimated gas reserve in the gas field is 200 billion cubic feet and the daily production is around 20 million cubic feet.
With the new reserve, Bhola island has 2.23 trillion cubic feet of gas.
