Cabinet purchase body gives nod to 17 proposals
The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) has approved a total of 17 proposals, including the import of 3.36 million MMBTus (British thermal units) of LNG to meet the growing demand.
The approval came from this year’s 18th meeting of the CCGP held virtually with Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal in the chair on Wednesday.
Briefing reporters virtually after the meeting, Kamal said Petrobangla under the Energy and Mineral Resources Division would procure 3.36 million MMBTus of LNG from M/S Gunvor Singapore Pte. Ltd., Singapore at a cost of around Tk 8.38 billion
He informed that the cabinet committee approved another 10 proposals for the ‘Excavation of 8th Well (Investigation Well)’ project of the Sylhet Gas Field Limited under the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, reports BSS.
Under the approval, Sylhet Gas Field Limited will procure construction works ‘Land Development Construction of Box culverts and HBB road’ from M/s Don Enterprise, Rajshahi with Tk 31.80 million; excavation goods ‘Downhole Completion Equipments from M/s Halliburton Far East Pte Limited, Singapore with Tk 26.20 million; excavation goods ‘Directional Drilling Services with equipment’ from AllMansoori Petroleum Services LLC, UAE with Tk 42.10 million; engineering services ‘Cement, Cement Additives and Cementing Services with equipment’ from M/s Halliburton International GmbH, Switzerland with Tk 29.80 million; engineering services ‘Core & PVT Analysis Services’ from M/s PanTerra Geoconsultans BV, Netherlands with Tk 33.30 million; excavation goods ‘DST and Production Testing Services’ from AllMansoori Petroleum Services LLC, UAE with Tk 16.50 million; excavation goods ‘Mud & Completion Chemicals’ from Golbal Drilling Fluids and Chemicals Ltd, India with Tk 42.30 million; engineering services ‘Slickline Operation Services’ from AlMansoori Petroleum Services LLC, UAE with Tk 244.50 million; engineering services ‘Procurement of Wireline Logging Services with equipment rental’ from M/s China Petroleum Logging Co.Ltd., China with Tk 51.80 million and construction works ‘Construction of Rig Foundation with Drilling Pad, Drain and Boundary Wall Including a Gate’ from the Jwel Construction Pvt Ltd, Dhaka with Tk 61.10 million.
CCGP also approved a proposal of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC) under Security Services Division to procure “Part Procurement of Integrated Lawful Interception (LI) System-Geo Location System and Related Services’’ from Intersec SA, France with Tk 1.72 billion.
The meeting also approved a proposal of the Community Based Health Care Authority (CBHC) under Health Service Division to procure 27 types of medicine for 14,014 community clinics with Tk 2.09 billion.
CCGP approved a proposal of the Roads and Highways Department under the Road, Transport and Highways Division to procure construction works of package no-WP-01 ‘Up-gradation of Madhupur-Mymensingh National Highway’ to proper standard and width” with Tk 1.42 billion.
The meeting also approved a proposal for the ‘Sewerage system establishment project for Chittagong metropolitan’ under Chattogram WASA of the Local Government Division to procure construction works under package W3 from joint venture ECEC, CCECC and TCEL with Tk 6.48 billion.
The meeting also approved another proposal for the ‘Sewerage system establishment project for Chittagong metropolitan’ to procure construction works under package W2 from joint venture Zhongnan Engineering Corporation Ltd and Sinohydro Corporation Ltd, China with Tk 8.31 billion.
CCGP also approved 11 revised recommendations of the inter-ministerial committee as per the direction of the CCGP meeting on 27/05/2021 in order to create more competition among the bidders in the government procurement proposed by the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division.
